How The Cookie Guy came to be The Cookie Guy:
I started baking my first cookies over 15 years ago. With much trial and error, finding the right ingredients, mixing, and baking times. I found a cookie that would please my 10 nephews ( official taste testers of The Cookie Guy ).
Having a passion for cooking for many years I decided on some formal training and attended the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City . Upon graduation I worked in the corporate catering field on Wall Street, moving up from prep cook to sous chef. Deciding to try my hand at something new I switched to desserts. I started working as a pastry cook, then on to Executive Pastry Chef at Butter restaurant. A well known trendy Soho restaurant in New York Catering too many celebrities in the entertainment field and serving desserts from 100 to 400 people a night. From Butter I moved on to a restaurant that caters to just desserts called The Chocolate Room in Brooklyn . Seeing the life style in the restaurant world I decided on a change. Moving to Virginia and starting a personal chef business, I always made my cookies and treats for clients and friends as holiday and thank you gifts. I decided to start The Cookie Guy.
Hope you enjoy my cookies and brownies!!!
